The pupils at New Mills Primary School look forward to their visit to Lea Green for weeks before they go, and it is never a disappointment! This year was no exception! Joined by Mrs Arnfield, Miss Whetstone and Mrs Ratcliffe, the children worked as a team, walked in a river, visited Carsington Water and all the other favourites.
The three night residential allows the pupils to spend a lot of time outside, challenging themselves in areas they don’t normally meet at school.
A particular favourite this year was the river walk. The children don their waterproofs, wellies and helmets and set off upstream! After crawling through tiny spaces and under low branches, their reward is a relaxing mud bath! The smiles are always a delight to observe!
We can safely say that this year’s trip was another resounding success and the stories will be heard for many months to come!
Thank you to the staff who gave up their week to accompany the pupils. It is appreciated by everyone involved.
So excited, can’t wait till I go.
It sounds so fun!
