Year 5 Make Autumn Suncatchers

Written by Mrs Williams

Year 5 pupils combined several dexterity skills to create an autumn suncatcher to finish off the first half term of the school year. On a day where the whole school had come together to create large scale autumn themed natural collages, Year 5 worked on a smaller scale to fasten previously collected twigs and sticks together with wool and twine before fastening a piece of sticky back plastic to their creation and decorating it with autumn leaves.

The results were pretty spectacular.

I hope we get some sun to shine through them during half term, Year 5!

Elsie’s autumn suncatcher is lovely. She definitely took her time on it. I hope she’s proud of it.
