On Friday 8th December Year 5 & 6 took a slippery walk to St George’s Church to look at all the Christmas trees displayed by various community groups, organisations, shops and schools.
There were many favourites – from the star decorations made of paper clips, the one with free sweets (guess which company this was from?), the one with the pipe cleaners to make musical instruments, the mini one using shells and many more.
The tree made by Year 5 was a “Triangular Tree” which was made of large tubes glued together to make a tree of triangular numbers. Year 5 wrote questions about the tree and left them by the tree for the public to answer (answers were on the reverse).
