Year 3 & 4 Performance of “Olivia”!

Written by Mrs Williams

The Spring Term was brought to a fabulous end with an amazing performance of “Olivia” by the Year 3 and 4 pupils under the direction of Mrs Broadley, Mrs Plant and Mrs Shepley. There were so many lines to learn, lyrics to remember and scene changes to perfect but the children did all of these admirably. The musical is based on a favourite character from children’s fiction, the orphan, Oliver. Not only did this show substitute the loveable boy character for a girl, it also entwines other familiar faces such as Eliza Doolittle and Ebenezer Scrooge.

Whilst there were some outstanding individual solos, acting performances and accents, it would be unfair to mention these by name as we all know that what makes a great production is hard graft and oodles of teamwork!

Very well done, Year 3 & 4!
