On the very first Friday of the school year, Year 5 & 6 went on a trip! They took the train to Whaley Bridge to watch the Tour of Britain Cycle Race pass through their neighbouring town. The children helped to make the event even more memorable for many of the spectators with their enthusiasm and cheering!
After the race, the children enjoyed their picnic lunch by the side of the canal, an ice lolly and toilet stop at Tesco, and then their walk back along the towpath and through The Torrs to school in time for hometime.
What a fantastic end to the first week back at school!
