Reading Month

Written by Mrs Williams

October was Reading Month at New Mills Primary School. All the children were challenged to read each day and get a signature from an adult at home if they were successful. All those children who managed it were presented with a certificate and a personalised bookmark in a special assembly last Friday. Pictured are some of the Year 6 children being presented with their prizes and all of the Reception class receiving their awards. Many children in the school wrote book reviews with teachers awarding additional prizes for the best ones in each class. Some of the children’s work is going to be displayed in New Mills Library over the coming weeks. Well done everybody!

Take look at the photo of the display at New Mills Library…the library are thrilled with it and say we can display things there whenever we like! Thank you!
