Governs the employment of staff at school and ensures compliance with statutory duties and good employment practice.
- Determining the staffing structure of the school, in consultation with the headteacher
- Overseeing the appointment procedure for all staff
- Annually reviewing, adopting and monitoring the procedures for dealing with staff discipline and grievances, and ensuring that staff are informed of these
- Adopting, monitoring and reviewing policies on pay, performance management, equality and equal opportunities
