Andrew Bingham visits New Mills Primary School

Written by Mrs Williams

On Friday 27th May, the School Council were visited by Andrew Bingham, our Member of Parliament. He spoke to the children about a variety of topics and answered their questions about his life and his job. The children were amused by many of his stories, particularly the one about yogurt pots (ask a School Council member)!

Mr Bingham was invited to school so that the children can make the connection between the work he does here, in his constituency, and the work he does in the Houses of Parliament, in London for four days of the working week. When the School Council visit London next month, Mr Bingham will meet with them, thereby reinforcing that connection.
