Citizens Advice poster competition

Written by Mrs Williams

In November, Year 5 were asked to take part in a poster designing competition by the Citizens Advice and the Chartered Institute of Trading Standards. The theme was Switched On and centred around consumers knowing about product safety and their rights when buying electrical goods.

The posters had to be A3 in size and the winning entries were to be displayed in shops, cafes and public buildings.

We weren’t the only school asked to be involved but we have recently found out that the other schools were unable to complete the posters in time so all of our posters are to be used for display! Some will be in New Mills, others will be in the Glossop area and places in between!

When the people running the competition have acquired enough frames the posters will be ready for viewing! As soon as we know where they are all going to be displayed, this page will be updated. We will be provided with a map of where they all are!

The picture attached shows Councillor Dave Allan viewing the pictures with Dawn /Mackenzie, the organiser.
